Chronic diseases is a general term used by GP’S to group together lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, obesity, heart diseases such as stroke, angina & heart attack, high blood pressure, arthritis, polycystic ovarian syndrome and cancer just to name a few.

 

Staff of Fitness on the Run are qualified to effectively manage and prescribe exercise programmes for someone who has a Chronic disease or disability. Successful exercise management also involves close teamwork with physicians, nurses, and allied health care providers which this centre has been successful over some years to provide to their clients.

 

Early intervention is the key for people who have been diagnosed with these diseases. Starting an exercise management programme, designed for the individual person, helps to restart and rebuild the body through changing lifestyle habits, introducing positive steps into their training and achieving realistic goals their side effects of the disease becomes more manageable and establishes improvements in lifestyle and self esteem.
